We agree, it does seem a bit odd to have a section entitled ‘About You’, but we think it’s important that we try and understand who are clients are and what they’re looking for. Therefore, what we’ve tried to do here is to set out the kind of clients we help.
Let us start by saying that generally speaking, everyone knows something about mortgages. Maybe the knowledge has been gained from talking to parents, friends down the pub, work colleagues and so on. But truthfully, how reliable is this knowledge? Well meaning as it is, it’s not always the most reliable information and can lead people to ditch their ideas or even go down the wrong route. Let me ask you this….if you were driving in a town that you didn’t know and got lost, would you ask for directions from someone local, an expert in the area, or someone who like you was visiting the neighbourhood with very little knowledge of the roads? First time buyers, home movers, remortgagors, buy to let investors are ALL looking for the best rates, and of course we can help with this. Most people using our services are also looking for someone to manage the process through to completion – again, we can help by maximising our own relationships with the chosen lender, which have been built over the years of trading together. Having said that, a lot of people want to find out how much they can borrow and what the payments would be for a mortgage – that’s fine with us as well, as everyone has to start somewhere and only by getting this information can you decide what to do.
